American's almost learned their lesson with the great depression and kept the republican party in check but as the years slipped by and the old timers passed on, we fell asleep at the wheel. Elected the great deceiver Ronald Regan who quickly backed the corporate overthrow of the family farm. Hostile takeovers became the catch phrase of the day as the debts went through the ceiling, rich became richer and the poor were simply ignored. Big Daddy Bush inherited the actor's throne and he got busy exercising his war powers in Nicaragua, Panama, Iraq and Somalia but it was the economy stupid so Clinton and his democratic congress took charge and America began to recover from the republican party hang over. Only two years though because the simpletons on the right took out a contract on America and spent the next four years investigating a blow job. Their game wasn't working and America elected Al Gore by a landslide but the governor of Florida decided to cheat for his brother causing the republican appointed supreme court to appoint a decider. Yes, it didn't take the first court appointed president in the history of the U.S. any time at all to hand the Clinton surplus out to his rich friends and scratch the rich from America's duty roster and allow them a tax free ride and front row seats to the republican wars in the middle east as spinach killed babies and miners were buried alive. But hey! We all get groped by a federal employee before boarding a plane and the government gets to sneak and peek without a warrant for your protection. We have secret courts and a really nice prison in Cuba. Forget the fact that our bridges fall out from under us and who cares if speculators buy more gasoline than they can take delivery on. A few are making a killing while the rest are looking for a job within walking distance from their park bench. The American Dream used to be leaving our children better off than we were but the Teapublican Party released Freddy Kruger and turned the dream into a nightmare. It is time to do in America what Bush did in Iraq. Outlaw a political party. Outlaw the republican party as an enemy of the state and prosecute their leaders in a court of law. Sell tickets to the hanging to cover the costs and use the concessions to pay for the ropes and confiscate the ill gotten gains from the foreign accounts and put it back in the U.S. Treasury so we can get back to the American Dream.
